Richard Newman, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer
As CTO of Reliant, Richard is responsible for the Company’s day-to-day operations, as well as its strategic direction. A technologist at heart, Richard has more than 20 years of experience in applications and infrastructure. As a leader in five successful start-ups, along with extensive experience consulting to numerous retailers, he is adept at working with both small and large organizations. His technical expertise extends to cloud infrastructure, DevOps, network infrastructure, agile software architectures, and information security. In addition to network and systems design, Richard has worked extensively creating software applications and brings a disciplined approach to Reliant’s product development efforts. Richard is a graduate of Columbia University in New York City.
Mark Weiner, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer
Mark Weiner (CISSP, QIR, QSA) is COO & Co-Founder of Reliant. He has worked with a number of retailers, payment processors and card brands in support of their PCI compliance needs and has been a featured speaker at National Retail Federation and PCI Standards Council events. Mark has almost 20 years of experience in Information Technology. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Global Practice Manager of the Security Practice for SAVVIS, Inc, the world’s largest web hosting provider. Through SAVVIS and its predecessor companies, Exodus and Cable & Wireless America, Mark held a variety of executive roles in sales, professional services, product development and operations. He was an early pioneer in driving practical, cost-effective implementations of security policy and compliance requirements. An engineer by trade, Mark has BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering. Mark also earned an MBA from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business.
Phil Stead, Vice President, Retail Systems
Phil Stead (CISSP, QIR, CISM, ISA) is responsible for leading the expansion of Reliant’s security solutions for retail merchants. This includes the design of secure systems to process payments and meet PCI requirements in store systems, enhancement of Reliant’s products and services to meet emerging requirements and direct client engagement. He brings over 15 years of experience in the leadership, development, integration and support for retail solutions. Before joining the Reliant team, Phil served as Director — Store Systems & Implementation for KWI — a SaaS retail technology solution provider — where he led all front-end Point-Of-Sale development and implementation efforts spanning over 125 different global retail brands.
Jason Anderson, Vice President, Engineering
Jason Anderson (CISSP) has responsibility for managing technical operations and delivery of Reliant services and solutions through management of the support, professional services and account management teams. These teams align to form the delivery, support and project management services for Reliant infrastructure engagements. Jason’s qualification in technology delivery and support includes over 20 years of experience in IT infrastructure support, management and service, including 15 years in retail IT at Tiffany & Co., The WIZ and, most recently, at Avenue Stores, where he led the infrastructure team as Director of Technical Services.
Charles O’Brien, CISO, Director of Governance Risk and Compliance
Charles O’Brien (CISSP, MCSE) manages the Reliant GRC team in addition to managing internal security and compliance programs. Previously at Reliant, Charles participated as a technical leader in the Engineering team. He was the first employee in Tallahassee, FL location, which now employs over half of our U.S.-based staff. After leaving the Navy, he discovered the joy of working in IT and has never looked back. He now has over 15 years of experience in IT which include working in healthcare prior to Reliant.
Traci Weiner, Director of Finance & Administration
Traci has been responsible for Reliant’s financial and administrative functions since inception. Her extensive financial experience comes from a variety of roles including controllership; financial, compliance & operational auditing; and SEC reporting, from pre-IPO to Fortune 50. Traci started her career as a Certified Public Accountant at Arthur Andersen, where she focused primarily on serving the needs of small and emerging businesses, and progressed to management positions with leading global manufacturing and technology companies, including Thermo Fisher Scientific and United Technologies. Ms. Weiner holds a BS degree in Business Administration – Accounting from The University of South Carolina.
Greg Fox, Director of Business Development & Alliances
As an experienced strategic partnerships leader, having developed and operationalized over 60 commercial B2B strategic partnerships with GSIs, ISVs, Distributors, Resellers, & Technology alliances, from startups to industry giants, Greg has established partnering as a company core source of innovation & competitive advantage.
Greg has held senior alliance, channels, marketing, business development, strategy, corporate development, & product management roles at Cisco, Citrix, Huawei, Novell (Micro Focus), HPE (Compaq Computer), & WorkSpan.
As a long-time contributor, author & speaker within alliance & partner ecosystem communities, Greg has been an advisor to numerous startups, non-profits & educational institutions, helping them to build partnering capability & capacity.
Greg is a Certified Strategic Alliance Professional (CSAP), the alliance profession’s top credential & has a B.A. in Economics & MBA from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University.
